THE HISTORICAL JESUS has been challenged by critics for centuries. Some say he existed, but He did or said none of what is recorded in the Gospels. Others say He was a good teacher, but did not die on a Roman cross, and certainly was not resurrected from the dead. And many claim Jesus was entirely made-up and there is no historical evidence He ever lived.
